Cappuccino Frosting

Frosting prepared from blended butter and shortening, instant espresso powder, buttermilk, confectioner’s sugar, vanilla extra and ground cinnamon. Decorate cupcakes with frosting and dust with additional confectioner’s sugar.

Ingredients -
3/4 stick Butter
6 tablespoons Solid Vegetable Shortening
3 cups Confectioner’s Sugar
2 tablespoons Buttermilk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 teaspoons Instant Espresso Powder
1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
 
Preparation:

1. Beat butter and shortening in a bowl until blended.

2. Stir espresso powder into buttermilk in a bowl, let stand 3 min. or until espresso dissolves.

3. Add cinnamon.

4. Add remaining ingredients and beat until blended. Increase speed to high and beat until smooth and fluffy.

5. Scrape frosting into a ziptop bag. Snip off tip of one corner.

Decorate Cupcakes:

1. Pipe a spiral of Cappuccino Frosting from center to edge of cupcakes.

2. Dust with confectioner's sugar, stirred through a fine mesh strainer, then dust lightly with cocoa powder.
